There are some songs that are just meant to be danced and interpreted. I'll be adding some of my favorites. Please add yours. Include the song title, album title and publisher, kind of song, and your concept for interpretation.

By His Blood Hosanna Integrity Cup of Life (adoration)

Essentially a solo dance piece that employs two sets of red billowing silks (representing the Blood). I use a red tallit when I dance this. The billows process in and take their place, the inner ends leaving just a small opening for the dancer, and the outer ends are taken out to the sides, forming an inverted V as the audience looks on. The billows slowly "breathe" through out the song as the dancer ministers around, under and through them. The red billows recess side by side, sandwiching the dancer in between.

The Fire of His Love Hosanna Integrity Holy Fire Paul Wilbur. (entreaty, prayer for cleansing). Also, from the same album, Let Your Fire Fall

A solo dancer with a fireflag, and garments that speak the fire message. A deeply personal cry for holiness and a call to the world to be ready when the Fire comes.

A dance that speaks about the Lord's covering. The tallit and wing flags both represent his intercession and protection over us. I always dance the flags out through the aisle as the song comes to a close. There is often a hush and quiet weeping as the silky, white 9-feet long flags sweep gently over the people.

Some other songs that are choreographed with the wing flags:

Holy, Holy, Holy Israel's Hope Arise, O Lord

Think lots of white and gold. Flags, dancers, tallits. It's a piece that builds to a controlled crescendo and then leaves you with the most beautiful peaceful, serene ending you can imagine.

Agnus Dei Michael W. Smith Go West Young Man

(I sometimes choreograph this as a duet with an angelic figure and a young Mary figure who tell the story of the annunciation through the dance. It begins with the 'angel' overshadowing Mary's prone body with the wing flags. At the conclusion, Mary dances with the angel in celebration of the coming Messiah.

Gloria in Excelsis Deo Hosanna Integrity Behold the Lamb

an exhuberant praise song, can be solo or others added. If I have long silks anchored at the ceiling, I like to use them to enhance this piece as well.
